5 Ways to Create More Engaging Content
Are you struggling with your content creation? Maybe you’re finding less and less engagement on your posts, stories and reels. We’ve all been there. Some of it comes from a little bit of writer’s block, other times it’s just a funk in the social media world. But, whatever it is, we have 5 tips to help you write exciting content and keep your audience engaged!
Be Current
This might seem like common sense, but not everyone does it. If you’re posting about data, statistics, or research, make sure it’s the most current and up-to-date data available. Make sure it comes from a reliable source too. If you’re talking about a new trend, get excited and get your audience excited. Try to be one step ahead so your audience keeps coming back!
Language Skills
Nothing will turn your audience away faster than poor grammar, language use, or spelling mistakes. In this day and age, with the advancements in technology, there is no excuse. Double and triple-check your work, or get someone else to. If this is something you struggle with, it might be worth outsourcing this task. Whether it’s proofreading, editing, and revising, or turning your general idea into a gold-star post, it will be worth the investment.
Always Include a Call to Action
Always, always, include a call to action on your posts and stories. This gives your audience a way to connect with you. Try asking a question and encouraging your audience to answer it, request them to leave a comment, an emoji, like, or a save. Take advantage of the swipe-up feature and share links in stories too. A Call to Action will help turn viewers and lurkers into followers and supporters.
Offer them Something of Value
Give your audience something they can take away. Maybe it’s a new strategy, a tip or trick, a hack, or little tidbits of the services or products you offer. You want your audience to leave feeling like they gained something from your account. This will keep them coming back for more and hopefully supporting your business.
Be Relatable
Show your face. I know that’s hard to do for some, but your audience wants to know who is behind the business. Whether it’s personal photos with your posts or hopping on stories and showing your face, people want to get to know YOU, so they begin to trust YOU. Once they trust you, they are more likely to support you and your business. Your audience wants to know your story, life, struggles, and your successes.
Try using these tips and see if you can produce more engaging content for your audience. Remember to engage back with them when they do comment on a post or reach out to you. The relationship should be reciprocated so it can be built on over time.
